You Sure Mr Cameron?

Tuesday 10 November 2009

I see the Evening Standard are reporting that David Cameron has announced he is to use taxpayers' money to fund charities to take on the task of beating 'welfare failure'. Unusual. Are we really expected to believe that charities whose whole raison d'etre is the provision of services to the poor are best placed to take on the task of effectively putting themselves out of business (because that's what they are - businesses)? And is Cameron really saying that outsourcing our benefits system to more unelected and unaccountable bodies with a nice big handout of taxpayers' money is really the way forward?

Also interesting is the proposal to appoint charity boss Debbie Scott, who runs the Tomorrow's People charity, as a Tory peer. Especially when you view the following.

Time for Change? Or Time for More Of The Same Old Same Old?

I'm firmly of the opinion that no government should be giving any charity taxpayers money, that's surely up to the taxpayer themselves.

You'd soon sort out the worthy causes from the fakes very quickly if that were the case. You'd also sort out the government announcing policy on the basis of pressure from these fakes too.

What is a taxpayer-funded "charity" if it isn't an arm of government?

Might he be doing it because:

1) because monies in these QUANGOs are off the books;
2) these QUANGOs are not subject to FOI;
3) there are kickbacks involved?

Every policy Cameron comes up with is Liberal/Corporate. He doesn't have a conservative agenda.

Good find, Elvis.

You've got it right, Lord Elvis - 'more of the same'.

Still, I find it hard to believe anyone in their right mind would vote for Cameron, anyway. The man's already a proven liar.

This kind of behaviour is straight out of ZaNuLab`s, Common Purpose, money laundering and fraud handbook.

He is so arrogant and complacent, he feels that he does not even have to try and conceal his true motives and intent.

The tories under scameron are I fear, going to be a massive, massive disapointment.
