Much has been written about "Oz", but I urge many to read Michael Yons online magazine.
His passing of the most technically demanding course in the army.
His courage his skill.
And whilst the loss of any service man is a loss too much the passing of this gent who lost his life dealing with his 65th IED on his last day of his tour strikes a cord like no other.
Is it time to get them all home?
Is it winable?
Is it providing security here in the UK?
IS IT ACTUALLY WORTH IT??????

The Army is in Afghanistan to destroy it - because Labour fears them. They sent them to the worst place in the world without helicopters or proper equipment - to DESTROY them.

Despite all the bluster over all the years we now know that mass immigration was deliberately to destroy our society.
I was initially in favour of doing all it takes in Afghanistan but do not see how we can continue to support a man who so corrupted the political process tht his main contender stood down thus leading to his "re-election" by default.

I'll repeat, amongst my friends' hyperbole, what I believe to be the only realistic motive for keeping troops fightig in Afghanistan, and that's to keep the Talibanfrom power.
6 November 2009 at 07:16Since Gulf 2 and the removal of the Taliban, the Muslim world has come in large part to support the Taliban [even if soem of the Arabian kingdoms fear it].
A resurgent and governing Taliban would be close to and perhaps capable of, joining up with the very numerous Islamist terrorists in Pakistan and getting hold of their nuclear weapons. Thereafter you can kiss London goodbye. Our troops are there to keep us safe: not to build hospitals and schools and drains.
Even Labour's stopped clock is right two times a day. This is one of them.
