The Homeowner Mortgage Support Scheme was announced in a big fanfare a year ago to help struggling borrowers stay in their homes, but has ended up helping just 15 families so far.Clever.
The Government confirmed today that the scheme has cost the taxpayer £2.5 million.

Sounds just like the Business Support Scheme that is supposed to give credit to would-be expanding companies.
23 December 2009 at 07:08Was listening to a debate about it on the radio with the Minister pontificating but unable to answer, or even believe. callers who were telling him that those funds were simply not available at the sharp end and that the process for applying for them was incredibly complicated.
